Roopa Resort 18
Roopa Pemmaraju has successfully presented their resort 18 collection to an intimate crowd at this years MBFWA event, with many saying it was the standout brand of the day (and possibly even week). Funky, quirky designs combined with gorgeous patterns brought the runway to life for RP's presentation.
The atmosphere on the runway was Indian inspired, with the strong scent of incense wafting through the smokey air, and a focus on silken printed garments in oranges, reds & yellows. The vibrant colours and meditation-esque music created a moving runway, that won admiration from the audience.
The models walking the runway were diverse in ethnicity & size, making Roopa's runway the most inclusive thus far at FW, a feat for the lesser known brand. This also emphasised the labels flawless design capabilities and focus on creating garments for every woman. Maxi dresses with tiered layering were a notable focus for the brand's Resort wear shift as well (love, love, love it!)
Sequin appliques have continued to take centre stage throughout the week, with Roopa being no exception. Floral is also a trend that was rehashed on the Roopa runway, with embellishments adding texture & variety to otherwise high quality basics.
Congratulations to Roopa on their amazing runway this year, a fully realised collection and emotive runway which was appreciated by the entire crowd - looking forward to the next!
