#jeans4days Challenge: Day 1
Ahh jeans, one of the most versatile pieces found within one's wardrobe. In Winter & through to Spring, I find jeans being a go-to choice for casual styling, as they offer comfort & a simple option for cruisey day-to-night transition. Over the next four days, I will be bringing you the #jeans4days challenge, showcasing four of my favourite pairs of jeans in four super wearable & easy to replicate styles!
This first look is a slightly preppy, slightly business-chic look I put together around my favourite pair of high waisted, black Uniqlo jeans. The ankle length cut of these pants makes them the perfect pairing for these two-toned ankle strapped points from Novo (any ankle strap point will do if you're looking to recreate!).
I chose this vintage little blue bag with pink pom poms to add some fun details into an otherwise 'adult' look. I wanted to dress down the professional feel of the striped shirt & plain pant, and thought this pop of colour was the perfect accent.
Shirt-wise, I styled in this striped, stand-collar azure shirt (also from Uniqlo) because I love the pairing of oversized shirts with high-waisted, fitted jeans. The jeans help to cinch in my hips, so I don't lose my shape in the gaping shirt - plus, stripes are always a great choice!
This is exactly the type of look I would wear throughout the day for meetings or work, to transition easily and head straight out to see the girls for an evening cheese platter afterwards. It's a sensible, business-chic look for day one of the challenge, which is so easy to replicate with your already-owned wardrobe pieces. Check back tomorrow for Look 2! xx
