Macgraw @ MBFWA
Sister act Macgraw can seemingly do no wrong, injecting the first dose of pure fun we have experienced at MBFWA all event.A bright pink set & Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' acted as a bouncy backdrop for the beaming models who skipped down the runway in a not-at-all-pretentious stride (which has come to be expected at FW). The styles themselves were also a breath of fresh air, and some of my favourite that have been shown so far.
The runway was sweetness all round with an array of girly dresses in floral lace, sheer blue & creamy gowns with ruffled embellishments, and high collared, baby doll necklines. Macgraw somehow managed to capture innocence, without making it too childish, while still maintaining a wearable aesthetic.
For myself, the awe moment of this runway came in the form of deep green velvet. Softer fabrics have been featured throughout many of the resort runways, but this luxe emerald green structured into riding suits & flattering dresses is just completely my jam. I will have one of everything please!
An extremely successful showing for Beth & Tessa, Macgraw is definitely a brand to watch in the upcoming years.
