MBFWA Day 1 Shows
MBFWA is currently in full swing & my golly is it swingin'! With so much beauty to choose from, I had a ridiculously hard time selecting my favourite styles, but I somehow managed! Check out my picks from the day 1 MBWFA runway shows. Featuring; - Watson x Watson - AJE - Ashkar Line - Strateas Carlucci #ALWAYSTRENDING
Sidenote: Apologies for the over-sharpness of these images, I needed to extensively edit/enlarge each & did not want to compromise the quality.
AJE
Aje presented a beautiful collection focusing on elegant, chic beauty. The use of a candle alter on the runway created a soft atmosphere which perfectly complimented the intricate femininity & details included in many of the pieces (such as the second dress pictured here). I absolutely love the demure style of the denim dress (third image). A gorgeously wearable line - well done!
Ashkar Line
Absolutely nailed my aesthetic Ashkar! Sam Harris is a dream in this classic all black style - love the asymmetrical hem line. Such a practical collection that I just honestly love every piece of. I really appreciate the use of traditional textures & cuts featured throughout the collecy, and the details (buttons & multiple pockets) are everything! Stunning line, adore!
Strateas Carlucci
Texture, texture, texture at the Strateas Carlucci show this fashionweek! Rides & thick, tweed style wraps will be excessively popular this F/W season. Another trend that has been cropping up repeatedly at MBFWA is the extralengthed tee - another trend alert that I am calling right now! Blacks, greys, whites & muted tones feature strongly in Strateas' designs, which is completely in line with my tone palette of choice. Winning collection!
Watson x Watson
Watson x Watson offered up a fresh & edgy presentation this MBFWA. The range features classically cut midi dresses, shorts & tops withsparse use of denim in innovative & interesting ways which really caught my eye and bought the collection to life! The patchwork style on the cloak/dress is absolutely amazing - my favourite piece!
