Skincare Regime: My Onne & Only
Following on from my last post, I wanted to share with all of you what I have been doing for my recent skincare routine. Lots of you have requested this post, and before I dive into it, I just wanted to answer a few FAQ's related to my skin which I randomly get.
1. I do not bleach my skin or use any sort of whitening products - I am just really pale & don't tan/fake tan. I also really care about sun protection, so rarely wear bikini's to the beach/strappy tops in the sun.
2. I haven't had any botox/injections or lip fillers. I also want to make it very clear I don't have a problem with others getting this sort of work, I just haven't personally done so.
3. I spend about 3 x more money on my skincare products than I do makeup due to my modelling work (my skin needs to be clear & fresh always). I spend around $50AUD on skincare per month.
4. I am always the lightest ivory shade of make up - no matter the brand. Haha.
My skin experiences change with the season, and currently I am dealing with the dryest skin on Earth. As a result of the cold weather, my skin's appearance is really flat and pasty - yuck! In the cold months I always reach for a product that can infuse my pores with moisture and also leave a protective barrier to combat the elements.
Recently, I have been reaching for my Onne products (which are a brand new addition to my repertoire this Winter!) and the pick up my skin has been seeing is insane!
I use my cleanser twice daily in Winter (makeup & working under lights really dries my face out). Even though this is a cream cleanser, it removes make up so, so well and has a really beautiful savoury scent. Being a cream, this product isn't at all gritty or rough, a quality which I look for in a cleanser. It's also great for smoothing away any rough bits of skin from the windy weather & doesn't sting your eyes if it accidentally washes in (I'm clumsy so this happens a bit haha!)
Twice per week during Winter, I use the moisturising mask in place of oils and other skincare. This is hands down one of the best moisturising masks I have found for skin brightening & defining. Love the natural ingredients (kaolin does really good stuff for small blemishes on my face) and the texture of this product. Unlike other masks, the clay isn't insanely tightening on the pores and can be cleaned via damp cloth - so much easier!
For the rest of my body, I apply the Onne Balancing Body Balm liberally - especially if I have just waxed or shaved. It's so ideal as an after shaving application as the aloe & coconut sooth any bumps or redness, while the shea butter acts to close pores & hydrate the skin. I adore the soft, healthy glow it gives you all over, and again, the body balm smells beautiful - a much more mature and savoury scent than the classic 'Strawberry Sundae' smell in every body cream.
I wanted to share this routine with you all, as I have genuinely seen an improvement in my Winter skincare. If you have the same problems with overworked, tired & dull skin - I would recommend checking out some products from Onne (especially the cream cleanser - amaaaazzzinnnggg!!)
