Finding Happiness
Recently I have been trying to focus on the positive, small and minute things that often get overlooked, such as a kind wave from a stranger in the rear view mirror, a compliment from a colleague or a sneaky discount on a meal. I am trying to escape the notion that feeling happy is only possible when your ultimate goal is achieved, and rather, celebrate the small triumphs along the way. Taking time out for myself each morning, especially after recently uprooting my life to move, has proven to be the essential tool for ensuring my peace of mind, as well as long, steaming showers and, of course, planning my next stream of content.
Self actualisation, and taking the time out to realise what my true goals & ambitions are has really helped me to focus my mind & energies on productive activities, such as planning travel & meetings, and creating or writing.
I have also tried to steer away from comparative thinking, and valuing my successes against other people's. This is just so destructive, as everyone is on a different life path which cannot possibly be judged against one another.
As a part of this post I have included some recent work shot with Ben Pyke in Sydney. I adore this shoot because it shows a wide range of my personality, and showcases how far I have come as both a model, and a creative in my own right. Thank you all so much for continuing the Modesto journey with me, I truly appreciate your ongoing support & encouragement.
