Sundrenched Saturday Afternoon
Sometimes we run away from the past, darknesses, regrets and things we would rather forget; but then sometimes we propel ourselves, full speed, running forward & into the unknown, in search of happiness & enlightenment.
I try to focus on the latter option, and recently have been grinding hard on my Visual Merchandising career. Although VM is such a passion, it has taken my focus away from this space, and left me feeling creatively drained. Styling clothing & dressing mannequins all day for a separate company has somewhat warped my sense of style, and recently I have found myself dressing more corporately than I normally would.
A reflective Saturday afternoon spent driving to a small abandoned, weathered away home in the Australian wilderness - just what my soul was yearning for after immersing myself so completely in my visual merchandising work. I feel inspired to create again!
Easy, monochromatic styling complimented the black & white imagery - which was such a diversion from our original concept, but has worked so beautifully & created a whole different story.
These gorgeous images were snapped by my dear friend Justin - @besideyouintime xxx I hope you love the story as much as I do.
