Stolen Girlfriend's Club: NZFW
Possibly THE most anticipated show at this year's NZFW, Stolen Girlfriend's Club was every bit the expected edgy party.Inspired by 90's youth rave vibes, the wide variety of garments included streetwear, basics, leather & dresses, with the 'sonic youth' feel emphasised by the created 'slept-in' make up look.
Waist-cinching belts and blured floral prints feminised otherwise unisex silhouettes, which would not appear out of place on a model off duty. I also personally loved the offering of graphic printed tees, which included smiley faces & monograms reading 'VIOLENCE, TERROR CHAOS'.
The highlight piece of the collection would have to be the hand-drawn leather jackets by artist Micheala Van Der Laan - so detailed & unique, I would even go as far to say a stand out piece of the entire week! This show was punchy, upbeat & fierce, and the offsite setting in a secret warehouse location made this adventure all the more exclusive.
If you are the sort of person that loves expensive looking street style, then this collection is absolutely for you; You'll probably need at least one of every item! Congratulations to Stolen Girlfriend's Club on yet another successful year at NZFW.
