1 Black Dress, 3 Different Looks

1 Black Dress, 3 Different Looks

The black dress is possibly the most versatile item within any ladies wardrobe, and many love them so much they are even own multiple styles of the timeless piece. With Splendour right around the corner, camping & light packing are on my mind, so I thought I would put together a style post showing how easy it is to take 1 black dress and style it in multiple ways! Using this method assists so much with saving bag space and makes dressing each day really simple when traveling or at a multi-day festival. Check out the 3 different styles I put together below, and get inspired as to how you can also use this nifty space-saving trick! If the look was a little short for my more modest girls, then simply pop on some thick leggings or style some flared denim jeans underneath to keep it cool but covered up! Dress: Carven Brand from Net-a-Poter Shoes: Vans Of The Wall Elk Head Bracelet: Merida Cartel Co. Belt: Op Shop Purchase

In this outfit I channeled a festival/vintagey vibe, and to achieve that, I simply slipped this MINKPINK maroon velvet skirt over the top of the dress and fastened a clip-on earring into the middle of the cleavage area of the dress. I also chose to style in my Stella McCartney wrap jacket in black over the top of the dress to really differentiate the look (and also because layers rule!). You can't go vintage vibes without the addition of some cute boots & a felt hat, which really tied the whole outfit together. Something a bit more dressed up & chic, and slightly more suitable for winter as well (although you might have frozen pins!) The sleeved black dress is perfect for wearing underneath heavy coats to add feminine shape, and the lower cut of the style I am wearing prevents you from looking to drowned in large outwear pieces. I love the classic appeal of black pumps paired with black dresses, and this outfit reflects my preferred colour palette (no colour at all)! I threw my hair into piggy-tails just to keep the look a bit girly and fun, instead of completely mature. Coat: Op Shop Purchase - one of the best buys I have ever scored - only $7! Scarf: Sportsgirl Pumps: Target Collection Bag: Strandbags

And there you have it - 3 different ways to style your sleeved black dress! Perfect for when you are tight on suitcase space or needing to outfit repeat in a subtle way. See you all at Splendour! xx
