The Natural Bridge
Queensland is such a visually splendid area of Australia, boasting a wide variety of different ecosystems & natural delights. One such delight that I was lucky enough to recently visit is The Natural Bridge, located in Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Part of the Gondwa Rainforest area, The Natural Bridge has formed over millions of years via consistently running water breaking down the basalt beneath it to form a drainhole which water tumbles through to the underground cave below. The rainforest surrounding the geological wonder is dense & marked by a tourist track on which you can spot different types of wildlife to the chorus of songbirds & chirping crickets. 110% recommend this trip to anybody who feels at home in the forest like I do.
We were sure to arrive super early at the site so we could enjoy the fresh & crisp feeling of walking through the forest early in the morning. The warm rays shining through the tree tops & the birds calling to one another set a magical atmosphere - the downhill walk to the bridge was so serene as a result & honestly just such a peaceful experience.
Oh my Lordy! The Bridge is absolutely breathtaking! The tourist path leads viewers into an underound cave where the bridge can be viewed from a platform immersed in the darkness of the rock hollow. The splashing sounds of the water cascading through the rock opening echo all around you as you beathe in the cool, misty air. Natural beauty.
Once you've had the view from the bottom you can make your way to the overviewing platform at the top of the tourist path overlooking the bridge. Carved trees & interesting foliage line the way making for intriguing viewing & ample picture opportunities.
Mother Nature is so awesome!! On our journey home after the fantastic trip to the Bridge we pulled the car over to the side of the road & found a quiet nook to have a picnic snack & chill out at Hinze Dam - another popular tourist attraction in the area. This would be the perfect place to bring a book & enjoy the sounds of nature whilst reading, relaxing and refreshing your mind.
I hope you all enjoyed this photostory! Until next time xx
